This year, StellarX celebrated turning 10 years old. This year was a significant milestone, marked by some of the most exciting and impactful updates yet.
From a very successful NVIDIA GTC keynote, to project announcements with the Royal Canadian Air Force, ArcelorMittal, Chaac Technologies, and Héma-Québec, and winning the Merit Award at the Mobileheroes Global Awards in Taiwan — let’s say StellarX hit just a few objectives this year.
Through it all, our dedicated team has been working tirelessly to make StellarX increasingly accessible, update after update. Let’s walk through some major features that rolled out this past year, shall we?
Learning Analytics
VR/MR research consistently shows improved KPIs for businesses using them correctly. How do you know your experience is hitting these benchmarks?
Using the Learning Analytics feature in StellarX, you can track specific actions inside a StellarX scenario, which then send the results directly to your personal LRS. The Record Score Node can help you analyze any part of how trainees are navigating your experience using the method you prefer: pass/fail, scores, progress, just to name a few.
Ultimately, this helps you better deliver adaptive learning experiences. The individualized level of feedback really helps you nail down where your training can be improved.
Simply put: XR enhances how we learn, while analytics ensure we’re learning the right things in the most efficient way.

Non-Playable Characters (NPCs)
Originally shared in 2023, the Avatar Recorder feature allows you to add non-playable characters (NPCs) to your StellarX Spaces.
In 2024, it was completely reworked. NPCs are now entirely customizable, and can speak, move, and lip sync to any audio you add. Simply hit record on the feature, start capturing your movements, drop in your audio, and your chosen NPC will replicate it all down to every detail! Check out our Help Center for more information on how it all works.
On top of adding life to your Spaces, NPCs unlock a whole new world of possibilities for your immersive experiences. In a Virtual Reality experience created for Héma-Québec using StellarX, NPCs were used to embody medical staff and scattered throughout the scenario to help walk blood donors through all the stages of their journey. In any experience, they could be used to guide users through specific steps, providing a more human touch than information panels would.
Sketchfab Importer
The StellarX Asset Hub, accessible from inside the Web Portal, acts as your VR/MR CMS. It's where you can import and manage your own 3D models, audio, and video to use in your StellarX Spaces.
This past April, Sketchfab (soon to be Fab), renowned for its infinite repository of user-generated 3D models, was integrated to the Asset Hub.
The Sketchfab Importer grants streamlined access to loads of free content for your immersive Spaces. With just a click of a button, you can navigate through the Sketchfab store, browse various models, and import them to StellarX instantly — without ever leaving the Web Portal. Detailed instructions are available on our Help Center.
Custom 3D model development usually requires highly technical teams, and is known to be a costly and time-consuming process. Sketchfab's extensive library is almost guaranteed to have what you’re looking for. By gaining access to what you need in minutes, you can streamline your development process and allocate resources elsewhere. What a win!
AI Agent
A brand new feature the team is currently working on is a conversational AI agent which, among other things, aims to greatly facilitate knowledge transfer.
Loss of institutional expertise as experienced workers retire without effective knowledge transfer is a big challenge in many sectors. Through this feature, specialized knowledge can be fed to an advanced AI tool, which an agent is trained on. Speaking to the resulting interactive NPC inside a VR/MR experience, trainees can get their highly technical or specialized questions answered, even if there is no expert present.
This feature is currently rolling out with clients on Government and Enterprise plans, while still being actively perfected. Stay tuned to see how it develops!
3D Asset Viewer
Lastly, in November, StellarX introduced the 3D Asset Viewer, which makes managing your resources way more efficient.
No more guessing which asset is which while trying to sort your imported content! This feature, available from inside your StellarX Web Portal in the Asset Hub, instantly provides you with a 3D, 360 preview of all your assets. From there, you can even customize backgrounds to see how assets look in different settings, and access detailed information regarding your assets, including specs and metadata. See these release notes to get a glimpse of how it works.
That marks the end of the tour, folks! As always, thank you for being a part of the StellarX Community.
